Nerf Bars - Brush Guards - Other Accessories

Info:

Once again a rock chip issue, and another application Line-X is perfect for. The factory finish on most accessories is powder coat, and it usually doesn't last long. Parts like nerf bars positioned right behind the front tire are usually showing signs of rust in less than a year. Powder coat is the finish of choice by most accessory manufacturers no doubt because of cost, but it is a terrible finish for things out in the elements. It is hard and chips easily, and once the integrity of the coating is compromised by several rock chips the powder coat seems to suck moisture in and under itself.  Nerf bars are brought to us sometimes not looking super bad, but when we attempt to sand them the powder coat just flies off and underneath they are almost entirely covered by rust. Line-X, on the other hand, is perfect, and could be considered a lifetime finish for almost any accessory including the salt, sand, and gravel punished nerf bars.

Of course spraying accessories when they are brand new is preferred, we have had great success spraying some pretty rusty parts. Because of the nature and replacement cost of most accessories, it doesn't make sense to make them more expensive than they need to be to look good and do their job. Therefore if we can spray rusty nerf bars and make them last for the next five years and still look good, there is no reason to have them sandblasted or to buy new first.  Objects that we can spray all sides or essentially wrap the object, the Line-X material is actually holding itself onto the object just as much or more than it is actually stuck to it. We have taken this to the extreme spraying nerf bars so rusty they have holes in them, and have had great results.

The other great thing about spraying these types of accessories is our ability to colormatch them. Solid consistent color is the trend in the automotive world right now including bumpers, door handles, ground effects, etc. The "higher end" the vehicle,  the less amount of black plastic you will see on it.  .

Sprayed Grill Guards and Tail Light Guards end up looking a little thicker and beefier, which makes the vehicle they are on look that much tougher too.
